While communication has sped up things for us and made life that little bit more accessible, it still comes with its downsides.

I mean, yeah it’s cool to be able to connect with any part of the world whenever you wish to, but at the same time it is only ever more reason to justify not traveling and checking it out yourself.

A great way to please both worlds, work and leisure, is via a travel package that offers a snapshot of a certain area.

Travel World are giving us the opportunity to check out Vietnam at a glance, with a 12 day package deal.

The offer will set you back anywhere between $3300 and $3750 depending on where you are plying out of in Australia.

The package includes 10 nights accommodation, all meals paid for, all transport and daily tours and entrance fees paid for, as well as a tour escort and local guide during your stay.

In addition the visa fees will be taken care of for all Aussie passport holders.

The aim of the tour is to give tourists a snapshot of Vietnams major cities, including Saigon, Hoi An, Hue, charming Hanoi and the spectacular Ha Long Bay.

The deal is available now though Flight Centre and is valid for sale until July 15.

In a day and age where we are all connected via a great thing called the World Wide Web, the need to know English is more important than ever before.

But that is not to mean that if you speak it, you should not worry about knowing any other native tongue.

Yes, English may be the most recognized universal language in the world, but it is not the most spoken. Spanish takes that title.

In addition, there are so many countries that speak little to no English, and traveling through them can be very hard if you do not at least try to understand the basics of their official language.

Now learning foreign speak is very hard, and can be a real killer at times. But with time and patience it will be achieved faster than you think it will.

My advice to anyone starting to learn a new language is to work on a routine where you learn at least ten words a day in that language, and then learnt parts of their grammar too.

For example, it’s all good getting to know how to say the words, but to group them into sentences can be ever harder.

So, learning the vocabulary is one task, grammar is another.

Trust me, it can be a long time to eventually get to a fluent base, but when you do it will be rewarding and even easier to excel further.

Good luck!!!

America…… the land of everything.

Well, it is kind of true. When you are in the United States of America everything you need is at your fingertips.

Despite the entire bad wrap it gets form the media and word of mouth, nothing can take away the fact that it is one of the most interesting places to visit in the world.

Off all the cities Los Angeles is one that is one of a kind.

In the sunny state of California, the east coast city is home to so many different kinds of people.

Firstly, you have the gang members, who live everyday like it is their last.

The gangs are split by two main groups, the crips and the bloods. But from there it splits even further into hundreds of individual groups.

While there are deaths almost everyday in the area, they only really happen in certain areas, and to those who are in places they shouldn’t be.

Apart form the gang members, LA has the surfy/skater population, who spend their time at the beach, in the water and cruising around in the sun.

There are plenty of skate parks and outdoor areas to allow you to soak up the environment while you are there, and they really add to the great atmosphere.

Then there is shopping, so much of it!!

So many restaurants to choose from, so many theme parks to check out, and so many concerts and performances to see.

All this, and I still haven’t even mentioned Hollywood!!!

Los Angeles really is a must see city for all people.

Traveling overseas can be a huge eye opener for an tourist, no matter how old you are, but even more so for an Australian who is completely sheltered from life abroad

While we have TVs and internet and other ways of connecting to the foreign world, you never really know until you go.

But while it may be fun and a real inner journey, traveling can also have its down time, where you miss home, feel lonely, isolated and find it hard coping with life abroad.

Here is a list of things to expect when you are overseas and to prepare yourself for the worst.

Be prepared to feel lonely at man stage. You will miss home initially, but that will disappear when you meet new people and settle in.

Being fooled by locals is also a common thing in many countries, especially third world nations. Make sure you do not give away your trust easily and always be cautious of people you first meet.

Times will be tough. Money will be an issue, and it will never always be smooth sailing. Expect to have a few hiccups, but embrace them when they arrive.

Language barriers will always exist. Not everyone speaks English and there will be nations where our English will be useless.

Your hygiene levels will have to be lowered. You will find you have less privacy and ability to be as clean as you are in your home.

But, despite all the annoying factors that come with traveling, you will also have some of the best times of your life.

Enjoy!

For all you sun loving Aussies who are dreading the fact summer is dead and gone for yet another year, here is the deal for you.

If you have a spare four nights up your sleeve and are interested in heading to the gorgeous tropical island of Hawaii, well then head to ineedaholiday.com.au.

The travel website is offering a great package for well under five hundred dollars, and not one for the backpackers either.

From $323 per person you will get a four-night hotel package at the Royal Kona Resort in a Garden, Mountain View Room in Hawaii.

Plus, you will also get a bonus night in the deal, therefore you are only paying for three, but get four!!!

There is a catch, and that is that you have to travel from 1st of April to the 3rd of October this year, or between October 21 to December 10.

You will also get the deal if you book between the 3rd of January and the 31st of March.

Extra nights are available from $108 per person twin share as well.

But the only downside is that the deal does not include flights, so you might want to hit up Webjet or other places to find information on flight prices to the exotic location.

And for those who want to know about the place you will be staying at, here is a quick look at it.

Set in the oceanfront, overlooking Kailua Bay in the heart of Kailua Kona, the Royal Kona Resort is within walking distance of restaurants, shops, historical sites and activities.

Prague is the capital, and the largest city n the European nation called the Czech Republic.

Situated on the Vltava River in central Bohemia, Prague has been the political, cultural and economic centre of the Czech state for more than 1100 years. For many decades during the Gothic and Renaissance eras, Prague was the permanent seat of two Holy Roman Emperors and thus was also the capital of the Holy Roman Empire.

The population of the city is 1.3 million people, which is actually quite small when you consider how popular the place is.

Tourists flock to the city from all corners of the globe each year and are usually blown away by the vibrancy, amazing architecture and unique appearance.

Prague is often known as the gothic capital of the world.

That is not to mean there are a bunch of trench coat wearing people with lipstick a, nails painted and dog chains attached to them.

It means there is an abundance of great architecture and interesting culture that makes it stand out within the most popular continent in the world.

A good thing about the city is that it will never change, Prague has been included in a list of World Heritage Sites, making the city one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe.

Annually it receives more than 4.1 million international visitors.

There are so many cool places to see while in Prague, but if I were to mention a few, they would be Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and the St Vitus Cathedral.

Usually those who are backpacking around the world do not have an enormous budget to pick into.

On most occasions their initial funds will not even see them out for their entire holiday, and a lot of tourists find themselves working for a bit of extra coin during their adventures.

This is why budgeting is important. If you keep a close eye on your cash flow, and follow a structure, then you will ensure you don’t find yourself calling up your parents for more cash.

There is a bunch of ways to monitor your flow of cash, but the best way is to set up a travel log of expenses and cash in hand.

At then end of each day, spent five minutes filling out what you spent your money on, how much you have left and stay within a budget.

If you spend too much for one day, you know how much you need to save for the next day to stay on track.

As well, it is good to keep you up to date on your funds just in case some goes missing, stolen or there are bank errors.

Now I know that when you are holiday you are there for a good time, not to follow a set plan and rules.

But it shouldn’t be seen this way; it should be seen as a cautious and simple approach to protecting yourself.

Happy travels!
