As a tourist or traveller, arriving at any destination can be a stressful time.

On most occasions you have all your cash, important documents, tickets, clothes and other valuables with you, making you a vulnerable target to others.
It is important when arriving to any destination, whether it is by boat, plane, or foot, to plan in advance about potential hazards and hot to avoid them.

Here are a few tips to help you make your arrival as smooth as possible:

 Do you research before the trip. Try to get some information of the rough layout of the airport where you land And try to get a feel for the culture you will enter.

 Be careful picking a taxi. Don’t go for one that seems just to be hanging around, offering its services when there is a taxi queue available.

 Keep your wallet and valuables safely secured in a handbag or in one of your hand luggage bags.

 Exchange local currency before you depart..

 If you have not been able to find anything out about the airport that you are visiting then ask one of the airline staff, or the government tourism booth (if they have one at the airport) for some assistance, or tips on the best way of travelling.

 Most countries really are very safe, but in others it is really very advisable to take to take as many precautions as possible. No matter what, the most important is that you have a great holiday.
